Programs Offered

MCAAP Middle School and Teen program serves children from 7th to 12th grade. Membership is an annual fee of $18. Teens attend free after 1300. The MS/Teen program offers a safe, fun, and educational place for kids to come and interact with other children their own age. There are many activities provided such as, video games, out door sports, computer lab, clubs, Youth Action Council, and a mentoring program. All members are provided a snack after school to curb the after school hunger attack. Members are offered a variety of educational programs. A homework area is available that provides a quiet atmosphere with the necessary material needed. Access to the computer lab is available where teens have a selection of digital photography, film making, and educational software. Sports and Fitness opportunities are offered at all levels. Middle School/Teen Services also offers the Keystone Torch Club, which has elected officials to help teens resolve issues and make improvements to the Program. Scholarship opportunities, community service projects, and a mentoring program are part of the program.

Once you are a member of the Middle School and Teen Services you are also a member of the 4-H Club and Boys and Girls Club of America. A room is provided for teens so they have ownership of their own space. The room is equipped with a television, homework desk, video games, CD player, couches to relax, and movies to choose from. Teens are also more than welcome to hang out with the younger kids through out the rest of the center if desired.

Transportation is currently provided to and from school for the following schools: Savanna, Frink, Parker (morning only), Lakewood, and Will Rogers.

Who Moved my Cheese

Youth Services recently sent two Teens to San
Antonio for the Southwest Region Youth Leadership
Forum. This provided those Teens the opportunity
to learn how to be a more effective leader in their
program, community and in life. The two learned
many life skills and had a great time doing it.
